Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Ice Cube Trays or Small Silicone Molds
  • Knife
  • Chopping board

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables finely chopped
  • A handful of fresh parsley and cilantro, washed and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup water or unsweetened coconut water for an extra hydration boost
  • A pinch of love optional but highly recommended

Instructions

  • Chop Chop Time: Begin by lovingly chopping your chosen veggies into small, hamster-friendly pieces. Remember, we're creating a masterpiece of taste and nutrition, so each chop is a stroke of your brush.
  • Herb Whispers: Take your fresh herbs and whisper sweet nothings as you finely chop them. This not only releases their aromatic oils but also infuses them with love.
  • Blend It Like Granny: Place your chopped veggies and herbs into the blender or food processor. Add the water or coconut water. Then, blend until you get a smooth, vibrant mixture. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a tad more liquid to achieve a pourable consistency.
  • Mold the Love: Carefully pour your veggie and herb blend into the ice cube trays or silicone molds. Don't fill each section to the brim; leaving a little space will make the cubes easier to pop out once frozen.
  • Freeze!: Place the trays or molds in the freezer and let them solidify. This will take about 3-4 hours, but patience is a virtue, my dear. Good things come to those who wait!
  • Serving Time: Once frozen, pop out a cube and let it thaw for a few minutes before giving it to your hamster. This ensures it's not too cold for their tiny tummies.
  • Storage Wisdom: Keep the unused cubes in a freezer bag or an airtight container. They'll be good for up to a month, ensuring your hammy has a steady supply of these delightful treats.
